Does it hurt?
I am pulling the hair out by the root, it is not without discomfort, however, most people tell me it is a lot less painful than they were expecting!
Do you wax many men?
In short, yes. Approximately half of our clients are male.
What if I have a tattoo or piercing?
No problem, we promise not to wax them off!
Will I get ingrown hairs?
Ingrown hairs occur where the hair curls back or grows sideways into the skin, this has very little to do with waxing, in fact some people find that waxing helps minimise ingrown hairs. Prevention is the best cure which is generally about avoiding tight clothing and exfoliating your skin on a regular basis. We also recommend that for the first 24 hours after your wax, avoid the gym, swimming pools/hot tubs/jacuzzi's, sauna's, hot showers or sunbathing/sun beds as your skin will be extra-sensitive to heat and friction, and your pores will be open, making them more vulnerable to infection during that period.
Does waxing reduce the amount of hair over time?
I have certainly seen waxed areas becoming sparser over time.
Will I get spots?
The best way of avoiding such a reaction is to avoid the gym, swimming pools/hot tubs/jacuzzi's, sauna's, hot showers or sunbathing/sun beds for the first 24 hours following waxing as your skin will be extra-sensitive to heat and friction, and your pores will be open, making them more vulnerable to infection during that period.
What wax do you use?
We only use Perron Rigot wax which is of superior quality, strip wax for the legs, back, arms, etc and hot wax for more sensitive areas.
Do you do shaving / clippering?
We can do shaving or clippering on request, prices are the same as waxing.
Is there anywhere to park?
There is usually plenty of space on the road adjacent to the house.
How long before the hair grows back?
It typically takes 4-6 weeks for the hair to fully grow back though everyone is different. The hair will want to start growing back straight away but waxing means that the hair is pulled out by the root meaning that it takes longer.

Hi there and welcome to my website! My name is Clare Howe and I am the founder of Sugar Sugar, specialising in waxing for men, women and T Girls including intimate waxing.
I first heard about sugaring (a form of waxing) when on holiday in Egypt but it wasn’t until I returned home that I learnt that ancient Egyptians developed it!
I looked into it further and booked myself on a specialist-training course with GMT-Tec Beauty Training and as they say, the rest is history!
I no longer do sugaring unless you really, really want it as I am something of a perfectionist and I am yet to find a sugar wax that gives the same level of results as the wax I use.
I would describe myself as friendly and welcoming and I am to put you at ease whether you’re a wax veteran or virgin!
